about

The studio outtakes that you are about to hear were recorded at Weyburn Studios in Nashville between August 5th and 7th of 1976.

The artist is / was Lonnie Trucks a former Sears catalog model whose piss poor work ethic, over inflated ego, and short fused temper jeopardized his hopes of becoming the next Merle Haggard.

These are the profanity laced outtakes and false starts to songs that were never fully completed for his would be demo record.

Lonnie was shot and killed in the parking lot of a roadside honky tonk on the outskirts of Nashville hours after these recordings were made.

No one ever showed up to Weyburn Studios to claim ownership of these tapes on Lonnie's behalf.

Now 45 years later the former owner of Weyburn Studios has decided to finally release these recordings of what might have been the making of the next Merle Haggard....according to Lonnie.

PLEASE BE ADVISED....THESE RECORDINGS DO CONTAIN HEAVY USE OF PROFANITY THAT SOME MAY FIND OFFENSIVE!
